Anime Character of the Day (7)

Character: Yasunori Kuroki
Manga: Nodame Cantabile
Anime: Nodame Cantabile - Paris Hen – Finale Hen
Role: Supporting character

Yasunori Kuroki is a Japanese music student. He plays the oboe. Kuroki is very talented. His first appearance was during the practice in the music festival. He played in an orchestra which Chiaki conducted. Then the orchestra reforms after graduation, and we see him again. Also, that's when he first meets Nodame.
Kuroki is one of the sweetest characters in Nodame Cantabile. He seems to be calm and serious, that his orchestra colleagues thought of him as a samurai. Actually, that's the very same reason Chiaki has much trust in him. He chooses him for playing the solo in their opening performance. However, why I think he's sweet is because he fell in love with Nodame, the very first time they met. To think that someone would fall for Nodame! XD

Kuroki goes to Paris to study music, soon after Chiaki and Nodame head there. He had a hard time, at first, adapting to the people and the culture. Also he was thought to be gloomy, due to his naturally quiet character. However, he finds Nodame and he joins her and Paul forming a trio. Nodame and Paul, always, ganged on him. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. :D

Kuroki was keen on helping a younger Japanese student, who came to Paris for examinations, because he knew how it feels to be a stranger in another country. That shows how considerate and kind he is.
Also, his relation with Tanya was kind of funny. It was sweet of him to care for her in spite of their initial dispute, and that ending up with a proposal. It's like opposites attract.
