Instinct is as song that deals with motherhood. Dolores O'Riordan, the
cranberries lead vocalist, said that she wrote the song about her son. He
helped her get better and made her happy; that's why she wrote it about him.
I first
heard this song as a soundtrack in a car racing game called Revolt. I didn't
like the game, but the song attracted me instantly. That was the very first
time I hear the cranberries. I was charmed by the lovely music and the sweet
voice of the lead singer. I kept hearing it over and over again.
